Hi, I’m Kat and I’m here for you. As a nanny of 10 years I never want you to feel like you need to “pull it together” for me. I’m here to make your life easier and make a seamless transition for your kids. You can rest easy in yoga, kill it in that meeting at work, run errands or hit the town with your partner knowing I’m cherishing every moment with your kids and making them feel as happy as possible. As a sister to 4 older brothers and the star baby sitter on my street, I got my first baby sitting CPR certification at age 13 and I have been religiously nurturing children since. I transferred colleges in 2013 looking for some change and landed in Hawaii where I nannied a 4yo. I was blessed with 2 nephews a couple years later and tragically, their mother passed. I Read more immediately went to my brother to tell him I would move and help him with his children. What seemed like the right thing to do, turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I cared for my nephews for a year and then my other brother had a child so I went to SLC, UT and helped raise his child for 3 years. This may seem like too much for a bio, but I'm not sure what to put here. I want to give you the trust it takes to hand your kids over to a stranger, but idk if that's possible to achieve from a bio. It's just too big of a deal. All I can tell you is, I don't even know them and I value them. I value their little minds and tender hearts. I value sandbox politics and snack critics. I value questionable outfits and the extra loads of laundry it takes to keep up with them. It’s the little things that have completely changed my life. At 29 I felt torn knowing that care taking of children was my calling, it felt like I should have kids of my own if I love nannying and babysitting so much. And now at 31, I can see the blessing in having this gift and not knowing if I’ll have a chance to have my own. I have a tremendous amount of love to give and excitement to share and truly hold children as the most important people on earth. I don’t want to toot my own horn yet I also want to be transparent and am confident enough in my skills to know - I am a unicorn in this industry. I prefer doing test trials (babysitting for a few dinner dates or a couple sessions of 2-5 hours alone with your kids) before accepting full time nanny positions. If you’re someone who doesn’t know when they’ll need care to end, I’m your girl. I would love to work with a family for years to come.
