I love being a caregiver, as I find children to be a breath of fresh air,.everything thing is new and fun for them.They love unconditionally, don't hold a grudge, and are very straightforward. That being said I have been employed for over twenty years working with children in different capacities. First of all, I am a mother of three, grandmother of three, and great-grandmother of twins. I have worked as a licensed therapeutic foster parent for approximately 12 years. The children in my care ranged in age from 1 month to 18 years I found this work to be both a challenge and a blessing In addition I was a teacher of 4-5 year olds, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. I taught for six years@ and was very fond of it. The children were so eager to learn and a joy to behold. I also was employed as a Child Read more & Family Therapist for over two years. I was particularly fond of family therapy addressing the needs of a family as a whole. Lastly, I was an Early Intervention Specialist, with children age birth to 3 years. I diagnosed developmental delays in all five areas of development, with particular emphasis on Cognitive and Social Emotional Development. I provided age-appropriate playful activities to enhance learning and help children approach the optimal developmental level. All of my years of experience and study ( I have a Bachelor"s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology) have prepared me to become an experienced, excellent nanny for your child and his or her needs. I am CPR certified, timely and always strive for competence in my work.
