I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy being around children and supporting them as they grow, learn, and explore their interests. I find it very rewarding to engage with children at their developmental level, encourage their curiosity, and provide a safe, caring, and positive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves.
I have about three years of experience working as an infant–Pre-K teacher in a childcare setting. During that time, I cared for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. I have experience independently caring for up to seven children at once (toddlers–Pre-K) and up to four infants. I have also worked with children in special education and am comfortable adapting care to meet individual needs.
I have completed online childcare courses through MERIT, qualifying me to work in a daycare environment. My skills include age-appropriate engagement, classroom and behavior management, routine care, supervision, and supporting children’s learning and interests through play.
