Hello families :) I'm mainly on another website full time babysitting/nannying. I have a vehicle to come to you, but please note it doesn't have backseats, so I don't transport children. My name is Kristen, and I'm eager to offer my support and care for your children. Babysitting allows me to support families and gain valuable experience with a wide variety of children, which I find incredibly rewarding. With a diverse background spanning various roles, I bring a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. My journey began at a nonprofit group home for teenage girls in foster care, where I played a pivotal role in their growth and household management. Transitioning to clinics as a registered behavior technician, I worked with young children on the autism spectrum. (I now emphasize the importance of ethical, progressive, and non compliance based support.) Additionally, I served as an Read more ability-inclusive summer camp coordinator, facilitating enriching experiences for children with disabilities. This role allowed me to create a supportive and inclusive environment for children of all abilities. I further honed my skills by running a household at a nonprofit for adults with special needs, gaining insights into the intersection of mental health and disabilities. I led and grew a special needs kids ministry, where we prioritized individualized approaches and fostered an inclusive environment. My expertise extends to children and adults with special needs, disabilities, and neurodiversities across a wide age range, with a primary focus on ages 2-16. In challenging and high-intensity situations, I maintain composure and ensure the safety and well-being of those under my care. I enjoy assisting with homework, implementing creative lesson plans, engaging in enriching activities and providing light cooking and housekeeping support. Academically, I hold an Associates degree in Psychology and a Bachelors degree in Integrated Studies in Psychology and Theology, reflecting my commitment to understanding and supporting individuals on a holistic level. Outside of caregiving, I live at home with my two beloved cats. I enjoy nature and am experimenting with a carnivore diet. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to meet your family and offer care to your child.
