My name is Alex Kozlowski, and I moved to Austin from coastal North Carolina back in April. I originally moved here for a job opportunity in social media, but after some time in the role, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. It made me think about what I actually enjoy doing, and I kept coming back to childcare. I’ve loved caring for children for as long as I can remember. I changed my first diaper when I was 4 years old and started babysitting when I was 10. In high school, I began getting into more specialized childcare and started working with children with special needs. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to care for children with a wide range of disabilities and medical or developmental needs, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism, limb differences, and more. Over the years, I’ve cared for children ranging from 2 Read more months to 14 years old. I’ve also cared for up to 12 children at once, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple children, different age groups, and different needs at the same time. Outside of childcare, I love to cook and am a really good cook. I enjoy making homemade meals and am comfortable working around allergies, dietary restrictions, and different preferences. I also love animals and staying active. I actually raced professionally in triathlon, so exercise and being outdoors have always been a big part of my life. I’d describe myself as patient, easygoing, responsible, nurturing, organized, and someone who likes to stay busy and be helpful. I have my own car and am comfortable driving, I don’t mind helping with light housework and errands, and I’m comfortable with pets and animals. At this point, I’m hoping to find a family that feels like a really good fit on both sides. I’m looking for something long-term where I can become someone the family genuinely trusts and rely on me as part of their day-to-day life.
