Hello my friends!! I want to start by saying I proudly completed the South Carolina Teacher Cadet Program during my senior year of high school, where I was assigned to a 1st grade classroom. This experience gave me valuable, hands-on insight into early childhood education, teaching me how to be attentive to young students’ needs and support their development with care and patience. In college, I continue to serve children through my involvement with Shaping Stars, a program dedicated to helping youth in underserved Greensboro communities understand and express their emotions in healthy ways. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I took on the full-time responsibility of caring for my younger sister while completing online school as daycares and child care services were not as available during that time. This experience strengthened my ability to balance responsibilities, provide emotional support, and keep her engaged through creative, structured activities.
