My name is Kiera Munson. I am twenty two years old, and I live in St. Paul, MN. I love children more than anything and I am hoping to pursue a lifetime career working with them someday. I have been a nanny for many years now. I feel that nanny jobs are a great opportunity for me to work with kids not only for my future career, but also to get to know great loving families and develop real relationships! I have a generous amount of experience with all age groups ranging from newborns all the way to the middle school age, and I have learned several caring techniques for all types and said ages. I have learned how to deal with the needs of every various age group specifically. Every child is different and requires different needs. Some desire more attention than others, and some may be more independent Read more than the next. As well as past nanny jobs, growing up I also had a large family to help take care of. I was the oldest of four girls, and the big helper of my household. I would help my mom take care of my three younger sisters, basically raising them. I did a lot of changing diapers, making bottles, putting them down for naps, and of course playing with them. As they got older, I got them up and ready for school, and to the bus stop. I gave them baths, fed them meals, did laundry, etc. In addition to nannying and helping out with my family, I’ve also had numerous babysitting jobs since I was 12 years old. I was very active in my local church and volunteered at their nursery, and helped several years with Vacation Bible School, and many other programs. I have plenty of experience in the PCA (personal care assistant) field as well. I have worked with clients who are handicapable through the agencies of IRIS and Best Home Care. I am familiar with specific disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Dementia. Duties would include helping them with their everyday activities. Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted a lifetime career working with kids. As you can see my passion is for children, and working with them in my eyes is not a "job", its what I love to do! I am CPR and Red Cross certified as well! My current full time job will be coming to an end in the next couple weeks, so I am looking for something as soon as the middle of March, or possibly even the last couple weeks in February. I am very flexible to the different needs that any family may require. It would be my pleasure to be a nanny for a great family.
