I am a transplant to Austin (from a Chicago suburb) and am currently a nanny for a family Mondays thru Thursdays until 6 pm. I have been their nanny for the past 3 years. I left the classroom in 2020 (due to covid). I am available on Fridays and Saturdays for your childcare needs, whatever they may be. I'm also available Thursday evenings after 5 pm. If you have a school age child, I'm available for tutoring as well. You must be within 3 miles of Doss School (Mopac/Far West Blvd). Children are our future. My passion is to nurture, educate, and show love to children of all ages. As for me, I was an Elementary school teacher (18 years), raised two children and four foster daughters as a single parent, was a Girl Scout Troop leader (12 years), and a respite foster care provider (8 years). I have a Read more 6 year old granddaughter and a grandson due to arrive soon. I also proudly served in our country's military for 6 1/2 years and recently lived in the Middle East for five years. First of all, she was able to help us on such short notice. My 4yr old daughter took to her very fast and she doesn't do that very often... even with some family she knows already. My daughter is always concerned about getting left... she always want to go for a ride; not this time, she just wanted to read a book with Dawn and was not scared at all that Mom and Dad were leaving. My daughter fell asleep about an hour after we left and we my wife and I had a much needed night out! Dawn was very nice and respected us with Covid by wearing a mask!
