We are so grateful that Dayna was able to babysit for us on short notice this New Year's Eve. She was flexible and didn't mind babysitting for our toddler even with an older family member at home. Dayna is very kind, professional, and efficient. She didn't mind staying later into the evening and even brought over chocolates for our elderly relative. We hope to have Dayna babysit for us again. She is excellent!

Dayna was great! She cared for our 3.5 yo. She played dinos with him, took him to the playground, and prepared lunch and snack for him. She was very helpful and our little guy had a lot of fun!

Dayna was great, I hired her for a temporary full-time position when I returned to work after maternity leave. She cared for my 6 month old for 9 hours a day, she kept logs monitoring naps and bowel movements. She did age appropriate exercises (tummy time, etc) and took my baby out in the stroller every day. Everything was neat and tidy when I got home from work. She was always punctual and pleasant to work with, would highly recommend!

Dayna jumped in on short notice to help us when we needed backup childcare for our 9mo son. He was comfortable with her right off the bat, and she handled everything (changes, feeding, naptime, playtime in the park, etc.) with ease. Would gladly have her back to babysit again.

Dayna started with us when my baby was 3 months old and I was returning to work. I was a nervous FTM but my son loved (I mean looooooves) her. Working from home, I see and hear all of the laughing, cooing, hugs and smiles that happen every day. We are moving and sadly cannot take her with us. (Although we have begged!) She is always on time, documents daily schedules and works with me throughout all the development and re/progressions. Gives me advice and happily discusses a plan of action for daily routines when they need to change or nap schedules need to be updated, bottles need to be added, etc. She has worked with me to develop daily schedules (non nap trained kid, oy!) and throughout pumping, implementing formula supplementing, introducing solids, rolling, teething, etc. She finds so many ways to keep things interesting for him in our tiny Brooklyn apartment. She works with him everyday on his movement and motor skills while playing which in turn makes him nap like a champ. I'm so grateful for the time we have been able to have her, especially during the first year when there are so many milestones and stages of development and all of the knowledge and professionalism she brings. Highly recommend!!

I highly recommend Dayna as a great and dependable baby sitter for first-time parents seeking a night out. We asked her to babysit our 10 week old. Naturally, we were nervous about this given it was our first experience hiring a babysitter. Prior to the job, she offered to meet with us over Zoom and she was a very clear and responsive communicator. Dayna is good at keeping children on schedule and she did a great job bathing and getting our daughter to bed. She communicated and sent pictures to us throughout the night, which really put us at ease. I would highly recommend Dayna and we will be repeat requesters for her time.

We have had Dayna watch our very active 10 month old son for a two week stretch while our daycare is closed- a very stressful time- and she has been absolutely wonderful! She arrived early daily, was very professional and kind, receptive and flexible to adapt our basic household guidelines, engaged our child immediately in play, kept daily logs of activities/feedings/diapering schedule, took daily walks, and sent pictures and updates throughout the day. We have felt totally at ease with our son in her care. She also guided us on some ways to soothe his growth spurt with teething, not an easy stretch. We highly recommend Dayna and plan to have her babysit as needed in the near future!

It is hard to overstate how wonderful Dayna has been taking care of our precious 10-month old daughter. First and foremost, she provides thoughtful, loving care to our baby. Our baby lights up when she sees Dayna and cries "Day Day!" Dayna comes up with fun activities, managing to teach our baby and help her develop. She handles fussy moments gracefully and with an admirable amount of patience. She is extremely punctual and communicative. We had a few unexpected twists in the road on our end, including a health emergency for one of our family members, and Dayna always found ways to support and make things easier. Dayna and I worked together as my husband and I recently moved apartments and needed an extra set of hands with our 7 month old daughter as we unpacked and organized. From the moment Dayna and I met it felt natural and comfortable - even my dog was glued to her within minutes! Dayna is a compassionate and experienced caregiver who we strongly recommend. She’s been with us since the end of February - caring for our daughter starting at 7 months old and will end her time with us at the beginning of July since we are moving out of state. Dayna is respectful, thoughtful, attentive and responsible. She always arrives early and has a flexible schedule. Dayna has had a positive impact since day one, helping put our daughter on a consistent nap schedule (something that had been a real challenge for us at the time) and helping her reach important milestones through sensory/mobility exercises. She teaches our daughter manners such as sharing, saying thank you, having good table manners, etc. She helped with our daughter’s transition to solid foods including meal prep, feeding, and even baked healthy meals for the whole family. Dayna’s extremely organized and clean, going the extra mile to help with cleaning around the apt (vacuuming, tidying the living/play space, folding laundry, etc.) and making sure our daughter's items are all cleaned at the end of the day. She brings a fun and positive attitude into our home and it’s reflected in the way she interacts with our daughter and entire family (our dog loves her so much). We will be sure to call Dayna if we ever move back to NY!

I definitely recommend Dayna! She recently babysat for my 3-mo old son and was wonderful with him. She sang to him, helped him play with his mobile toys, monitored his tummy times, fed him his bottles, and put him down for naps. I felt that my son was in safe, capable hands with Dayna, and she reassured me with text updates and photos throughout the afternoon. Dayna helped out with our 5 month old during some early weekend morning slots while my partner and I attended a workshop. She was on time and was clearly very knowledgeable and experienced with babies (she knew how to operate our hatch sound machine). She was also super sweet and patient with our energetic dog (she clearly loves dogs and babies). We were in our home office so could hear our daughter laughing lots with Dayna. 100% recommend.

We hired Dayna for a temporary 4-week position after suddenly having to pull our 1.5 year old out of a new daycare, where he had suddenly developed severe separation anxiety. Dayna was very understanding and patient with Nolan's transition, helping him adapt to a new caregiver and making suggestions for how we could help that along. After just a week or two of working together, we had an electrical fire at our house and we had to totally rearrange our family routines. I broke my foot in the fire and had to have a foot surgery the following week. Dayna has been a trooper, changing her commute every few days to whichever Airbnb we happen to be staying at. She was also willing to take on the surprise duty of picking up our 4.5 year old from school via bus (I was the one doing it before the broken foot!). She's takes her work seriously and is always reliable, while offering a lot of flexibility to our suddenly changing circumstances. She makes the kids dinner, often from scratch! I'm happy to answer any additional questions for those who are considering working with her! Many thanks again to Dayna.

I highly recommend Dayna! We were visiting Brooklyn from out of town for a family wedding, and she watched our 1YO and almost-3YO, including playtime, dinner, and bedtime. She's clearly just a pro with kids - she was barely in the room before she was making the baby laugh, and things that are a whole production for my husband and I lately (squirmy diaper changes with the baby, drawn-out bedtimes with the toddler), she breezed right through. Dayna is obviously very reliable - she's super communicative and arrived early. Everything went so smoothly, we asked her to come back the next night so we could go for a last-minute dinner date, which she very kindly did! This was my first time hiring a "stranger" to watch my kids, and Dayna made it so easy. Absolutely great experience - would hire her again in a heartbeat.

We booked Dayna last minute when our other childcare fell through and it could not have been any more positive! She was excellent with our son and got him to sleep for nap / bed in 5 minutes instead of the normal hour plus fight! Dayna comes very highly recommended!

Dayna is a fantastic sitter. She’s incredibly professional, knowledgeable, communicative and helps to put parents, especially new parents like us, at ease. Our daughter instantly loved her, which was very reassuring for us since she’d met so few people during the pandemic. I cannot recommend Dayna more as a sitter. We’re extremely happy with her and feel lucky to have her in our daughter’s life.

Just to clarify, Dayna has been working as our summer nanny, and will be with us until the kids start school in Sept. Any family would be lucky to have her, and I can recommend her for infants and little kids.

Dayna started out as an occasional babysitter for our 4 month old son, and her competence and enthusiasm for children led us to transition her to a full time nanny for both of our (now) 6 month old and 4 year old sons. She has ample experience, knowledge, and confidence with babies and young children, and our kids were drawn to her great energy right away. She has been excellent at formulating and sticking to a routine, and has helped transition our younger son from nursing exclusively to bottle feeding. She takes the kids to the playground everyday, prepares lunches and snacks for our older son, and is always on time. She was thoughtful enough to inquire about any dietary restrictions/allergies/etc before starting with us. She has been caring, generous, flexible, and accommodating of our needs and shifting schedules. We have been so pleased to welcome Dayan into our family, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny. Our older son begins UPK in the fall, and we will miss having Dayna with us everyday. She will be top of our list whenever we need childcare in the future.

We needed a last minute nanny and Dayna responded right away when I sent her a message on SitterCity. She was at our apartment in about an hours time. My 20months old son took to her right away! She was very comfortable with him, and needed very little instructions from us. We will definitely use her again!

We have been very happy with Dayna’s childcare services for our 7 month old baby. We have booked her several times for occasional sitting services. She is excellent with our daughter, responsive to communication, and helpfully shares tips and tricks that she has learnt over the years. Her experience shows, and she is highly energetic with great initiative. She leaves our place tidier than it was when she arrives, and helps with chores during nap time. She’s reliably a few minutes early, and has great ideas for developmentally appropriate activities and exercises. Our baby loves her. She’s been great with baby lead weaning and cloth diapers. We will continue to book Dayna when we need someone to babysit.

Dayna spent a couple days with our 4 month old son last week, and we could not have been more pleased. We would highly recommend Dayna to other families, and look forward to working with her more going forward. She arrived early, and even checked with us before hand about any dietary restrictions or preferences in our house, to make sure anything she brought was compliant. She is very thorough, personable, and confident. She clearly has a lot of experience with babies and young kids! I very quickly felt comfortable placing our son in her capable hands. We have struggled a bit to get our son to take a bottle (he has primarily breastfed), but Dayna got him to take 2-3 bottles each day, and even got him to take some naps in his basinet. She practiced tummy time and rolling over (his latest milestone), and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day.

Not only does Dayna make our lives easier, our toddler adores her. We is a good caretaker and we would happily recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter.

Dayna worked with us and another family for over a year as part of a full-time nanny share. She was amazing with the kids (started when they were both ~8 months old), and a joy for the parents. She is prompt, caring, engaging, and had no problem caring for and helping contribute to the growth of two kids, both with working parents. We still see Dayna for one-off days, and both families would have loved to continue with her, but are sending the kids to school (hopefully) in the fall. Highly recommend.

Dayna is amazing. I was looking for a last minute sitter for my 5 year old and I was blessed to come across her profile and offer to help out. She goes above and beyond, is great with kids (and dogs!) and is super professional. She loves her job and that is so clear in how well she does it. She's also a great problem solver, came into our situation with little info about us and not much more than a phone interview and did leagues better than any sitter or nanny we've ever had before. I would recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I were looking for a sitter for our infant daughter. We received well over 50 applications on Sittercity, but Dayna's was far and away the best -- great reviews, background check, and she sent an organized resume our way. Dayna instantly put us at ease for our first time using a babysitter for our baby. She is a mature and experienced caregiver (she works as a nanny during the week) who clearly enjoys babies and knows just what to do to keep them happy. The first time she met my daughter, she was on her hands and knees doing tummy time with her and cuddling her. She is on time (even a little early to make sure there is time to go over everything), comfortable with swaddling and feeding, and sends regular text updates throughout the evening to keep the worried parents relaxed! We have now used her twice, and I plan to use her again. We highly recommend this mature professional who clearly takes a lot of care and pride in what she does!

We chose Dayna to sit for our daughter for the month before there was space for her at the daycare. Ours was a short-term posting and unlike most of the applicants, Dayna actually read our posting and acknowledged all of our needs in her application. Probably the best way to endorse Dayna is to tell you that our daughter happily went into her arms every day. Due to the recent weather, our two-year old had daycare cancelled, and he really enjoyed the couple of snow days he spent with her. We also appreciated that Dayna was always punctual, and easily adapted to our household routines. She consistently kept us well informed throughout the day with text updates and pictures, and kept a thorough written log of all the events and activities of the day (i.e., ounces drunk, nap duration, activities, outings). She kept our daughter engaged with tummy time, movement exercises, reading books, and singing songs, and took her outside for fresh air. It was wonderful to come home each night to clean bottles and a tidy play area and changing space clean. We'd happily recommend her to other families looking for a caring, dependable nanny.

My 2 year old son recently joined a nanny share with Dayna and we could not be happier with the care she provides. Dayna is patient, fun, kind and reliable. Our schedule is somewhat variable and Dayna has been 100% accommodating. She takes our son to lots of activities and keeps us well informed with texts/pics/videos. We have had the great fortune of welcoming Dayna into our family as the full-time nanny for our daughter. Dayna started with us when our daughter was 4mos old, when I was headed back to work. As a first-time mom, I was nervous about finding a nanny, but Dayna instantly set me at ease. She is kind, professional, and lots of fun.
