I love being a child care provider because caring for children has been both my passion and my profession for over 26 years. Since 1999, I have worked as a childcare provider at my home daycare Hopkins Childcare Academy in Durham, where I have had the privilege of supporting children’s growth in safe, structured, and nurturing environments. Watching children learn, build confidence, and reach developmental milestones brings me genuine joy. I value building strong, trusting relationships with families and understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident in the person caring for their child. My experience includes planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. I maintain organized, safe environments while ensuring compliance with state health and licensing regulations. I also communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s progress and daily needs. I am Lead Teacher Qualified and hold a Level III Administrator Certification. My skills include curriculum planning, classroom management, time management, multitasking, and detailed record keeping.
