Hi! Kids are some of my favorite people. I love their joy, enthusiasm for life, the freshness of their experience. As a mom, I have had years of experience with every age group (my oldest will be a senior in Highschool next year - where did the time go?!) I have also had experience with children outside of my home, recently as a volunteer teacher in a homeschool co-op, teaching an origami (paper-folding) class and a class on fairy tales. I have been a foster mom to an infant, and loved reading her picture books and finding ways to engage her attention with age-appropriate toys and books. I was also a swimming instructor for over a decade, working with kids of all ages, teaching them safety and confidence around the water. I worked as a physical therapist assistant for a decade, and have had experience in pediatric settings. I have homeschooled my children from preschool through Highschool, and have expertise in teaching reading and writing. I am well-versed in native plants and animals and love engaging kids in nature walks, and helping them appreciate the natural world around them. I also have basic piano and Spanish speaking skills, and love games of all sorts. I know many nursery rhymes and songs to enrich the lives of children, and love reading aloud.
