Hi, I'm a 55 year old single mother of 3 wonderful, healthy and thriving young men. 24, 21, and 18. The youngest 2 are Eagle Scouts. I'm as proud as can be of who they've become, and can't help but be grateful to God for the gift of my boys! I'm blessed to have been able to be a full time mother, so my hands on experience is extensive! Matthew Kelly says "the soul is healed by being with children." Even when they're naughty we have to laugh, because they don't have the wisdom to know we are one step ahead of them. Having taught Religious Ed. for 5 years, I was required to get certified in the "Protecting God's Children" training on how to avoid and spot abuse, through the Diocese of Manchester. I've taken the Cub/Boy Scouts, "Youth Protection" training through the Daniel Webster Council in Manchester, NH. Read more I was a Den leader in Cub Scouts for 10 yrs, and also served as Committe Chair on several committees including the Pinewood Derby. I started babysitting when I was 12, and have always loved being with children. There's nothing like their candid honesty. My experience with children is from infants up through college aged. I was a classroom volunteer from preschool up through Exeter High School. Served as room mother and on several school committees, such as Grandparents Luncheon, and Winter Carnival, and 3rd Grade Immigration Day. Chaperoned on my Volunteered at Steubenville East, UMass Lowell 2 yrs as an Usher, and one on Prayer Team. I adore children and their perspective on things. They're uninhibited and teach you new things all the time. I'm a musician who loves all kinds of music. I play flute, piano and sing. I like giving children 2 good choices, so they feel in control when they choose one of the options. I was infant/child CPR certified long ago, and would like to renew the training. Pets are wonderful, they bring so much joy. My mom calls them "heartbeats in fur costs." I'm ready going, positive and always smiling. Smiles and laughter are contagious, it's all about love!
