My name is Aili (eye-lee), and I have a bachelor's in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology at Western Washington University! I started babysitting 9 years ago, working with different families. During college, I worked as a toddler and infant teacher for the Boys and Girls Club. I've worked with kids as young as 2 months old at the BAGC. Seasonally, I have taught art students ages 5-16. This past year, I have been working at Ryther for their Aspiring Youth program. Working entirely with neurdivergent children, many have other mental health diagnosis(s) and/or have endured trauma. My favorite thing to do with kids is art and playing games! In terms of behavior, I always look at the situation from the child's perspective and validate their big emotions. Taking a walk, taking deep breaths, or even giving space to soothe the nervous system. And then, using our words to Read more talk through things. Escalations are bound to happen, but it's about creating a safe space for them to do so and offering repair AFTER. I am available after Dec 9, 2025.
