My name is Renate Engels. I was born and raised in Germany, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. After moving to the US, I spent my career leading nationally accredited preschool programs in Fort Myers, FL and San Diego, CA. I hold a California Teaching Certificate, a Florida Director Credential, and additional coursework in infant and toddler development. Beyond the credentials, I bring genuine warmth, patience, and decades of hands-on experience — from engaging children in imaginative play to managing bedtime routines to simply being a steady, trustworthy presence. Most recently, I spent a year and a half in Ball Ground caring for a little boy from infancy through his first days of preschool. It was a wonderful reminder of why I love this work.
