Although I have worked professionally as a nanny for more than 15 years, my experience caring for children began long before that. Over the years, I have cared for children ranging from three months old through school age, including siblings, twins, and families with multiple children. Altogether, I have had the opportunity to support more than 20 families over several years. During my senior year of high school, I spent two hours twice a week working directly in a preschool classroom. Each week focused on a different area of early childhood development, including sensory activities, dramatic play, snack preparation, and other hands-on learning experiences. I was responsible for planning activities and completing detailed reports on the children's experiences and development. Although I was enrolled in Child Care I, I was honored to receive the Child Care II Award. Working with children has always felt natural to me. I believe my Read more creativity, patience, empathy, compassion, and ability to connect with children have allowed me to build lasting relationships with the families I have supported. In my current position, I care for five-year-old twins and help manage many aspects of their daily routine. In addition to providing attentive childcare, I assist with homework, reading, puzzles, educational activities, meals and snacks, light cleaning, potty training, and age-appropriate responsibilities. I enjoy finding creative ways to keep children engaged, including hands-on activities and crafts, while also encouraging learning and independence. I also believe strongly in creating a healthy balance with technology. I try to limit unnecessary screen time and encourage children to participate in creative play, reading, outdoor activities, puzzles, and other interactive experiences. When screen time is appropriate, I incorporate educational programs and apps whenever possible. My goal is to be a positive, consistent presence in the lives of the children I care for. I want them to grow into confident, kind, respectful, intelligent, caring, strong, and independent adults who believe in themselves and understand that they are capable of accomplishing their goals. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your children is an important decision. I take that trust seriously and strive to provide families with dependable, compassionate, and professional care while becoming someone both the children and parents can rely on.
