I am currently a stay at home mom to my 2 year old daughter and my 7 year old stepdaughter. Also, I am in the process of completing my associates degree in early childhood education. While I have no professional background in childcare, I have been babysitting family members such as younger cousins and nephews since I was in high school so just about 8 years now. The family members I have cared for have ranged from infants to 10 year olds. Now that I have my own daughter, I have way more experience and knowledge in the realm of caring for and nurturing children. Caring for children is truly my passion, I also have work experience as a supervision aid at an elementary school so I have experience helping kids in a school setting. I know how to assist children with homework/learning in reading literacy, math, writing skills, etc. Read more from preschool work to middle school work. Other than that, I love being able to make a connection with a child in my care and becoming a safe space for them. With my daughters and other children I have cared for we do lots of activities like crafting/coloring, playing different games, going to the park, and lots of playtime. I have my own car. I will be available for weeknight or weekend babysitting jobs and am comfortable with diaper changes, meal prepping, cleaning, helping with homework or learning, supervising play, and morning/nighttime routines.
