My name is Vanessa. I'm a dedicated and experienced childcare professional/house manager with a background in preschool and household management. I am a mother of two adult children (ages 23 and 25) and bring over 20 years of combined experience working with children and families. I volunteered with the Sumner School District for approximately 12 years and have eight years of experience as a Lead Preschool Teacher. Prior to becoming a parent and preschool teacher, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and in the mental health field, which strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care. Most recently, I have spent the past 3 years working with a family as both a House Manager and Preschool Teacher. In this role, I supported the household by managing schedules, helping plan events, preparing breakfasts and lunches, running errands, coordinating appointments, and maintaining daily household flow. I also Read more provided private preschool instruction and nurtured a young child through key developmental milestones, preparing her for entry into private school. I regularly took children on outings, attended field trips, and accompanied them to medical appointments as needed. I am happy to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, events and child-focused outings. I genuinely enjoy working closely with children and families and take pride in being a reliable, proactive presence in the home. I am currently seeking a long-term position (minimum of two years) at a rate of $45 per hour. Ideally, I am looking for four days per week, 8-10 hours per day, though I am open to discussing scheduling needs. References are available upon request.
