Hi! I’m Michaela, welcome to my bio. I’m a 26-year-old female, born and raised, with experience in both caregiving and education. I’m CPR, AED, and First Aid certified for infants, children, and adults. I come from a big family with six siblings, which gave me a lot of hands-on experience helping care for others early on. Most of my professional background is in animal care and handling. I’ve trained horses, am a certified dog trainer, and I’m currently an ER veterinary technician in training. I’ve also worked closely with children over the years. I was a third-grade assistant teacher and taught outdoor education for kids ranging from preschool through fourth grade. I first got into personal childcare a few years ago when my aunt had a complicated pregnancy. My family and I took turns helping with the kids, household chores, and meals. After she had complications during childbirth, I stayed Read more overnight at the hospital to help care for the baby while she recovered. That experience helped me realize how much I enjoy childcare and wanted to continue doing more of it. Since then, I’ve taken on short-term childcare roles, and I’m now looking to settle into something more long-term. I’m excited to keep learning and to support a family in a meaningful way.
