I enjoy working with kids and being someone they can feel comfortable and safe around. I like getting to know their personalities and interests, whether that means playing games, being outside, watching movies, doing activities, or just hanging out. I also enjoy being a positive and dependable person that both kids and parents can trust. I have professional experience working with children, adolescents, and families through youth mental health services. I currently work as a Youth Peer Support Specialist and previously worked as a Wraparound Facilitator. Through these roles, I have worked closely with children and families, helped youth work toward their goals, participated in treatment planning, and supported children with different needs and personalities. I also have experience working with kids in both individual and group settings. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and was the mascot at Oakland University. I am currently in graduate school for School Read more Counseling. My experience has helped me build strong skills in communication, patience, problem-solving, de-escalation, and building positive relationships with children. I understand the importance of keeping kids safe while also making sure they feel heard and comfortable. I am dependable, responsible, and especially enjoy working with school-age children.
