Hello! My name is Amity, and I am a 28 year old aspiring nanny. I am a mother of a five year old and was a stepmother of three other, older kids for seven years. I have been a stay at home mom for three of my daughter’s five years, and for the other two I worked in mortgage full time while we had a nanny of our own. Throughout high school I did frequent babysitting for three neighborhood families with kids ranging from ages 3 to 12 (the three year olds were twins, very fun!), and for a year after high school I volunteered in a child care center taking care of children ages 0-3. Taking care of people is a huge part of who I am. I love the way kids are honest and funny, and especially the younger ones have such an adorable sense of wonder and curiosity, and the older ones have so much potential and new ideas and questions about life. In general, I love encouraging people to discover and embody who they truly are, and I believe this is especially important for children. I understand the importance of quality care, patience, and kindness in childhood. But also, fun! I have recently become a single mother and am looking for some part time work that fits my new lifestyle. I am available during the day on weekdays starting at 9am.
