l'm happy to have a long history of sitting with children and the elderly. l bring along a kit of art supplies, books and activities to enjoy with each visit. l love kids and enjoy reading, making art, playing games and practicing yoga with them. l think it is of the utmost importance to treat children with respect and reassurance, to speak to them intelligently and to in turn, listen to them. My hope is to make our time together full of fun! l am also happy to help care for pets and the home. A bit about my education and professional experience: my degree in visual arts has been supplemented with studies in early childhood education, communication sciences and yoga. l am currently the Outreach Coordinator for Savannah Speech & Hearing where l host a support group for adult stroke and TBI survivors and l lead our hearing screening Read more outreach efforts in our community's local schools. Our center also operates an early intervention auditory/verbal program for deaf children and while l am not a clinician, my observations and support of this program have been insightful and inspiring. * For families in Bluffton and Hilton Head, l must add an hour to our time in consideration of the travel.
