Hi, my name is Sineat and I'm looking forward to being your family's sitter or nanny! I have over 6 years of paid childcare experience through babysitting and nannying as well as hundreds of volunteer hours in nurseries, elementary and middle school summer camps, local outreach groups, and child development centers. As the oldest of 13 cousins, I developed a love for children very early on and have centered this passion in my pursuit of a career in pediatrics. I recently graduated from VCU with a B.S in Psychology and a B.S in Biology with Chemistry, Spanish, and Pre-Med minors. I have experience teaching Spanish, piano, and general music theory and would love to help your child gain any of those skills! I am also CPR and Basic Life Support certified by the American Heart Association and have been trained biannually since 2018. I have several family members and close Read more family friends with autism and similar developmental conditions, and I am very experienced in caring for children with unique needs. ASD holds a very special place in my heart, so much so that I'm currently working with a research lab remotely to learn more about the high prevalence of ASD within the East African immigrant community that I belong to. I'm more than happy to discuss your child's needs to determine if I would be the best fit for your family! Getting to nurture and love on your children would be an honor. I have a very deep appreciation for how much we can learn from children through their unique, fresh perspective on life and I believe that caregiving should be a reciprocal process of learning and development. I prioritize safety, consistency, and security above all else. Fostering creativity and imagination are also very important to me, and I love designing crafts and activities to help children learn by doing and seeing. I'm resourceful and adaptable but also value communication to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding your child's care. I love helping families out throughout their day-to-day by cooking, tidying up, helping with homework, assisting with transportation, caring for pets, and wherever else I can pitch in to help your family's day go a little bit smoother. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and again, I'm excited to work with your family!
