Hi! My name is Jhayla, and I’m 25 years old. I’ve always had a passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow. I currently work as a paraprofessional at an elementary school and at La Petite Academy, where I work with infants and young children. I’m also in school studying Early Childhood Education because my goal is to build a lifelong career working with children. As a paraprofessional, I support children in the classroom by assisting with learning activities, meals, bathroom breaks, transitions, and encouraging positive behavior while creating a safe and supportive environment. At La Petite Academy, I care for infants and toddlers by changing diapers, preparing bottles, feeding, following nap schedules, supervising playtime, and planning age-appropriate activities that help support their development. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve also babysat children of different ages, so I’m comfortable caring for infants through school-age children.
