Hi! I'm Kylie Marshall, a rising senior at UMASS Boston. I am about be 22 and live in Sudbury, MA. My college courses are all virtual, which gives me a lot of flexibility for work! | Experience | - 9 years of babysitting/nannying (4 months - 12 yrs) - 3 summers of camp counseling (4 yrs - 15 yrs) - 7 years of lifeguarding (all ages) - 7 years of swim instructing (3 months - 15 yrs) - 5 years as a team swimming coach (6 yrs -16 yrs). - Most recently, I was a long-term nanny (15 months employment) for two children ages 3 and 6. | Certification | - First Aid - AED - CPR - Lifeguarding - Water Safety Instruction - EMT License in progress | Approach to Childcare | My greatest strength in this line of work is being able to make anything fun. I also like to make space for creativity and expression with art, crafts, and music. Nourishing a child's free spirit is especially important to me. I like to support and teach where I can while also making sure to leave room for independence and exploration. Helping kids establish their autonomy and learn to set boundaries is important to me. I encourage a gentle and kind attitude toward the self and others. My goal is always to find a way to make every day memorable, and to connect with the kids I work with in a way that fosters genuine trust and love. It is an honor to get to be one of their grown ups and to watch them grow into who they are! I am excited to find a family that I can work with long-term and form genuine connections with!
