I grew up as the oldest child in a family of 6 kids (3 biological, including myself, and 3 adopted from international countries), so I have been interacting with and caring for children for as long as I can remember. I've babysat younger cousins and neighbors' kids since I was 14, and I love being around kids of all ages! I also have experience taking care of up to 6 toddlers at once, as I have worked as a caregiver during my church's women's Bible study on Wednesday mornings. I am currently in grad school for Speech-Language Pathology, so I have a lot of experience with kids that have diverse communication needs and health conditions. I am also CPR/BLS certified and have experience with basic first aid as well. I am also functionally fluent in Spanish, though I am not at a professional or native-level fluency. I worked as an Read more Elementary Spanish and history teacher during my gap year before grad school, and I love teaching and cultivating excitement for learning. I am a good cook, am happy to run errands, help with homework, mend clothing, do laundry, clean household spaces, care for pets, or any other household task that might be helpful! I do have a severe tree nut allergy, so I cannot handle tree nuts and prefer to eat food that I prepare myself. I am happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions and/or allergies that kiddos might have! Personality-wise, I am very bubbly and optimistic, creative, artistic, and am an old soul. I am quick to laugh, and am calm and steady during moments of upset. I am very growth-mindset oriented and love learning new things! I am also musical, and I play the fiddle, guitar, banjo and a little bit of piano.
