Hello, my name is Mya and I am a native Arizonian. I graduated from Barrett, the Honors College ASU this past May with my bachelors in Biomedical Sciences and minor in psychology. I also took many courses such as developmental psychology which allow me to understand where a child is at socially, emotionally, and physically. This allows me to form meaningful connections with children of all ages. Throughout high school and college I have worked as a full-time caregiver for children of all ages, seniors, and pets. I also was a premedical scholar at Mayo Clinic Phoenix throughout undergrad. I am passionate about caregiving because it allows me to make a meaningful impact across all stages of life. From a young age, I’ve enjoyed spending time with kids, whether it’s helping my younger sibling and cousins or babysitting for neighbors. I believe my patience, creativity in coming up with activities, and responsible nature make me well-suited for this role. I'm looking for a caregiving job for the next few years as I am taking some time before applying to medical school. In my free time I like to spend time with my friends, family, bake, be active, and play with my two dogs Manny & Charlie.
