As far back as I can remember, I've loved being around children. I love their playful innocence, the way they see the world, and even the mischief. I started as a babysitter even before I was legally able to do so. I didn't know there were rules about that. Then when I came of legal babysitting age at 11, I started my babysitting career in earnest. I also helped in the church nursery growing up and at Sunday School and VBS. As an adult I have helped with those same church activities. Then around 9 years ago I had the opportunity to become an assistant in a Primary Montessori classroom for 3–6-year-olds. I loved the experience so much that after three years as an assistant, I felt led to get trained as a lead Primary Montessori Guide. I lead the Primary classroom community for five years before relocating.
