Hi! I’m Fatouma, a recent Purdue grad with a degree in Psychological Sciences and a lifelong love for working with children. I’ve been babysitting since I was 9, helping out with younger cousins, family friends, and neighbors. I started getting paid for sitting at 14 and haven’t stopped since! Over the years, I’ve cared for kids of all ages and personalities, and I truly enjoy building individual relationships with each child. What I love most about babysitting is being able to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids can just be themselves. I know how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m patient, dependable, and always happy to step in and help however I can—whether it’s playtime, homework help, mealtime, or bedtime. This gave me insight into the developmental needs of young children and helped strengthen my skills in observation, communication, and age-appropriate engagement. I currently work for Purdue’s Human Research Protections Program and live in West Lafayette with my boyfriend and our two kittens. I'm comfortable with pets, flexible with scheduling, and always happy to follow any routines or special instructions you have in place for your little ones.
