I am a senior in college at Concordia University of Wisconsin studying exercise physiology and pre-occupational therapy. At the university I have a job as a student ambassador giving tours to prospective students and families. I have worked at the YMCA summer day camp for going on 2 years, working with kids ages 5-13 years old as well as coach gymnastics for 2-6 year olds. I also volunteer with the Waukesha Special Olympics teams to help run practices during the summer sport season. For 2 summers I was also a respite caregiver for a special needs boy. In all of these positions, I have had to utilize various skill sets such as problem solving, creative thinking, patience and flexibility, communication skills, and overall behavior management. As a childcare provider, it is my job to provide fun and exciting activities to children by ensuring the child is safe in an appropriate environment while also participating in activities that are at the level of the child and there needs. I absolutely love working with children and helping them to explore new activities that challenge their creativity and can help them grow!

I have always loved being around kiddos. My mom owned a daycare that I helped out at since I was 8 that I eventually worked at until she closed it. I have been babysitting since I was 11 and I have a two year old niece that I absolutely adore. I currently am a nanny to older children but I have worked with all ages. I also work a before school care job and the children are between 4-10. I have the certifications needed to work any childcare and I even have some certificates for keeping dogs safe.
