I love being a sitter because caring for children has always been a meaningful part of my life. Growing up, my mom was a babysitter for nine years, caring for children from newborns to 10 year olds. I was able to help her often, which gave me early hands-on experience and helped me naturally develop patience, responsibility, and a nurturing personality. Being around children has always brought me joy. I truly enjoy watching them learn, grow, and express their creativity. Seeing their excitement during activities or when they accomplish something new is incredibly rewarding. I love creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. In addition to helping my mom for years, I currently work at an AlphaBEST after-school program with elementary students from kindergarten through 4th grade. I have been working there for nearly a year and will complete my first full year in Read more August 2026. This role has strengthened my ability to manage groups of children, plan engaging activities, and support students with homework. I have experience supervising both small and large groups, maintaining routines, and communicating effectively with parents and staff. I am CPR and First Aid certified as of last year, which allows me to respond calmly and confidently in emergency situations. I am skilled in organizing crafts, planning creative activities, preparing simple meals and snacks, and encouraging positive behavior. I pride myself on being dependable, patient, and attentive. My goal is always to ensure children are safe, having fun, and learning in a positive environment.
