We needed someone to hang with our girls while we were traveling at a 3-day work conference, so vetting an out of town sitter was a big task. Gena provided 3 absolutely glowing references and I had no concerns at all about trusting her with my 10 and 15 year old. She spent time brainstorming ideas for their time together over 2 days and FaceTimed with us before we met. She was always prompt and did exactly what she said she would do. My girls had SUCH a fun time with her! She drove them to a pumpkin patch, did a hayride, and braved a corn maze for 45 minutes. The next day she spent hours with them at the local STEM children's museum, took them out to eat, and then shopped at a touristy shop so they could get some souvenirs. My girls said that they felt really safe with her and that she made everything feel like a fun adventure. I'm so thankful that there are good people out in the world like Gena! We are grateful that our family connected with her and we hope to meet up again.

Gena is an incredibly kind, loving, and responsible human being. She took care of my toddler son and 4 year old daughter for about 8 months, (and the only reason she stopped is because we moved away...we miss her!) Her responsibilities included picking up my son from daycare and watching him in the afternoons, and regular weekend day care with both children. As a lifelong educator and mother herself, she was intuitive with my children's needs and always planned the best activities to keep them busy and tire them out. Even if I was at home busy with other responsibilities, my children were always happy to spend time with Gena so that I could get things done. My son especially had a strong attachment to her, which made me feel like he was safe and loved. Since I'm a working mother, she would always ask if I needed help with other things around the house. I would recommend her in a heartbeat for children of any age.
