My name is Ally, and I’m 19 years old. I’m currently enrolled at Eastern Florida State College, working towards my AA. My ultimate goal is to earn a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Education, and then continue on to pursue a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. My passion for working with children stems from my personal experience with my family. My older sister and bonus sister both have autism, and my younger brother has developmental needs. This has given me a deep understanding and appreciation for the challenges families face. During my senior year of high school, I completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, which allowed me to explore various healthcare careers. Occupational Therapy stood out to me because it offers meaningful support to children without being overly challenging. I also hold First Aid and CPR certifications, which complement my hands-on experience caring for children. I regularly babysit Read more my younger siblings, participate in an aftercare program at church, and have assisted at my mom’s school for children with autism on several occasions. I pride myself on being responsible, patient, and compassionate qualities that help me create a safe and nurturing environment for children. My goal is not only to expand my knowledge but also to support families who face similar challenges to those I know firsthand. At the same time, I want to earn money to help pay for school and enjoy being a kid while pursuing my dreams!
