Hello, my name is Jury Carter, and I am a 21-year-old student graduating from Albany State University. I am majoring in Health and Human Performance, with plans to attend graduate school to become an occupational therapist. I currently hold an associates degree in Health Science and work at TJ Maxx in Albany; however, I am seeking an opportunity that aligns more closely with my passion for working with children and my future career goals. I have over three years of experience in childcare and babysitting. I worked at a summer camp for two years, where I helped children strengthen their math skills through engaging and fun educational games. Through that experience, I learned how to make learning enjoyable while supporting each child’s individual needs. I am CPR certified and have served as a mandated reporter, which has strengthened my understanding of child safety and responsibility. I currently intern at The Read more Arc of Southwest Georgia in the Children’s Growth and Development Center, where I support children of varying abilities. I work well under pressure and truly enjoy teaching, building connections, and helping children grow, especially those with disabilities.
