My name is Delaney! I grew up on the Space Coast of Florida and have spent the past several years living, working, and adventuring across the country before deciding to return home to Florida this past January. I’m a patient, responsible, and fun caregiver who loves to get outside, stay creative, read, explore, and, most importantly—play and learn alongside children. I’ve been working with children for over a decade and have professional experience with ages 0–18 years old. I first discovered my passion for childcare in high school through the Early Childhood Education program, where I taught in our on‑site preschool and volunteered in elementary classrooms. During that time, I earned my Early Childhood Educator certification and later went on to complete three ECE college certificates: ECE Teacher, Group Leader, and Director. My experience since then has been wonderfully diverse. I’ve worked as a summer camp intern leading nature‑based programs Read more for 3rd–6th graders, assisted instructors at the Vail ski school teaching young children to ski, and served as a lead toddler teacher responsible for lesson planning, evaluations, and family communication. I also spent three years as a full‑time nanny for a family in Oregon and a year working as a staff nanny supporting families with care ranging from one‑time bookings to long‑term placements. Most recently, I have been the part‑time nanny for a toddler. Working part-time has allowed me to also offer back-up and occasional care to help families when their regular childcare falls through, they need an extra set of hands, or a sitter for a night out. I always arrive with age‑appropriate activities—books, crafts, and games! Families often describe me as creative, calm, and nurturing (and I’ve even been called Mary Poppins).
