I have been a Nanny for the last 5 years & most importantly I've worked with children for over 25 yrs! From preschool through high school ages, I've been able to experience all their transitions and what they go through. In that time, I've had the pleasure of being involved & working with a group of amazing deaf 3rd graders who taught me sign language and in turn I became their interpreter all the way through high school. We are still in contact with each other, they weren't just my students they were like my children! Parental guidelines are to always be followed and kept in communication with the parents at all times. Safety is key! Encouraging the children and keeping a positive outlook no matter what is priceless! Engaging them in activities that boost creativity confidence through age-appropriate activities.
