Hi! I’m Beck. I have several years of experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings, including residential childcare, martial arts instruction, and youth programs. I’m comfortable working with kids of different ages, personalities, and support needs, and I place a big emphasis on making sure kids feel safe, respected, and comfortable around me. My background includes professional training in de-escalation, crisis intervention, first aid, and emergency response, so I’m comfortable staying calm and making good decisions when unexpected situations come up. I’m also experienced with keeping kids active and engaged, whether that means playing outside, helping with homework, watching movies, playing games, or just hanging out and talking about whatever they’re currently obsessed with. I’m dependable, patient, energetic, and not easily overwhelmed by a busy household.
