I'm 27, vaccinated, and work in mental health with children in SF. I've been babysitting for families in SF since I was 14 years old and have always loved being able to work with children! Since then, I have babysat families in SF, Santa Barbara, and New York City with children from ages 8 months to 13 years. I have worked as a Therapeutic Behavior Service (TBS) Coach for the last 3.5 years where I provide one on one support to youth from ages 5 to 17 years old and their caregivers to aid with severe behavioral issues. While a student at UCSB, I worked for their Children Center for 2.5 years as Read more a teaching assistant in classrooms with infants and children ranging from 8 months to 4 y/o. I learned a great deal about patience, understanding, safety, and how to encourage autonomy and creativity while working with the Children Center. For 9 months, I also volunteered at a local Elementary school in Santa Barbara where I was given the opporuntity to supervise and play with kids from ages 5-13 y/o. Like I said, I love being able to work with children and I am fascinated by their imagination, development, and their ability to learn new things every single day.

Heidi has helped us look after our 5.5-month-old baby for a week and has been a fantastic experience. We have been so happy with her that she is now coming back once a week. She has been very responsive and communicative since the very first interaction. I was impressed at how easy it has been to work with her. On day one, I explained the baby's general routine quite quickly and only once. She got it immediately, started implementing it right away with confidence, and never had to ask again. I was impressed. She has demonstrated calm and patience in managing every mood. I love that she is affectionate with the baby, talks to him a lot, and the baby is visibly excited to see her every time she shows up! Heidi has also been very respectful of our (the parents) privacy throughout the day since we are around because we work from home and has been flexible adapting to our schedule and current situation. I am very happy we found her.

Heidi is awesome! She babysat my 5 and 3 year old girls several times and they loved her! They kept asking when she was going to come back. Very responsible and on time. Would definitely recommend her!
