I am looking to provide childcare from my house, right next to Prairie Elementary School in Waunakee, starting in the Fall of 2026. I have a 3.5-year-old son and would prefer to watch one or two kids close to his age. I also have an elementary-school-aged child who will be at school for most of the day. We have the social benefits of a daycare but the care and attention of a nanny. We have a lot of fun at my home; we have a big playroom with many toys and a fenced-in backyard. (We are going to be putting a nice playset in the backyard, hopefully sometime in August or September.) I have a lot of experience with children, nannying references, and studied Elementary Education but took a break from college to be a mom. I did part of my student teaching in a Special Education class. I also Read more have experience helping people through seizures. I try to follow positive-parenting practices. When a child misbehaves I like to start by asking why they did that, helping them understand the situation and brainstorm how to fix it, and giving them tools to make a better choice next time. I do not do any drugs recreationally, I do not drink alcohol, and my husband doesn't either. We do not have pets.
