Hello! My name is Sequoia and I am a college senior studying psychology at UCSC. My career goals include providing trauma-informed therapy to children and adults on the Autism spectrum, and gaining my SUD counseling certification. I currently work part-time as a beekeepers apprentice, and am looking for more reliable and consistent part-time work as a sitter or nanny. I have ~two years of experience as an unpaid sitter, mainly to my 3-6 year old cousins, and periodic experience working as a teachers assistant for a preteens and teens outdoor education program. My availability is Fridays and weekends 9AM-12AM (preferably not in entirety), and all other weekdays 9AM-12PM and 6PM-12AM. I bring patience, enthusiasm, kindness, and conscientiousness to my work and relationships with children, and am versed in understanding neurodivergent children’s unique needs and experiences, as a neurodivergent adult. I enjoy providing homework support, art based activities, outdoor learning, and Read more craft projects to children, along with any other particular interests they might want to explore. I am happy to help with transportation, light housekeeping, preparing simple meals, and supporting your families needs as they arise.
