Hi, I'm Israt, a warm, experienced, and responsible caregiver originally from Bangladesh, currently visiting Gettysburg for the summer. I'm a student at UWC East Africa, one of 18 UWC campuses worldwide, and I previously spent a year in Madison, Wisconsin as a fully funded U.S. Department of State exchange student. I'm completely fluent in English and very comfortable with American family life. Caring for children has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was the main caregiver for my younger brother (now 7) while both of my parents worked full days, and I regularly looked after younger cousins as well. During my exchange year in the U.S., I did paid babysitting and it was genuinely one of the highlights of my time there.
