Hi. My name is Cameron and I am 24 years old. First I would like to share a little about myself. I am an energetic, caring person who plays guitar and likes to stay active. My other hobbies include drawing, video games, enjoying the outdoors, etc. I worked as a extended day instructor for Merrill Road Elementary in the afternoons as well as during the summer as a summer camp employee. I now work at Bolles School as a summer camp counselor and after school care associate among other things. I am great with kids and have volunteered 2 years and worked about 3 years with kids at my old elementary school and a year and a half at The Bolles School. After volunteering, I was offered a job at my old school because of how good I was with the children there. So much so, the kids were begging Read more for me to be their volunteer in their group when we were being placed. I always played with them and many of the kids there thought of me as a friend. When I was working there, my job was to watch over 10 various ages of children ranging from ages 4-10, assist them with HW, etc. It's a similar situation with summer camp at both schools but instead, they go on field trips and things as well. At Bolles, I taught archery to 5-14 year olds and I've been one of the lead counselor captains for the youngest group(3-5 year olds) as well as helping out with other groups when needed during the summer. I assisted the 3-5 year olds with filling their bottles, opening food items, tying their shoes, washing their hands, helped some of the younger boy campers change to their swim suit/into dry clothes before and after swimming, kept track of and helped pack their belongings, etc. I also taught fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. during river days at school. I mostly work with Prek- 5th. I love being a good role model to kids. I find it super rewarding. I also watched my friend's autistic 9 year old brother one day, my 6 year old cousin a few days, my neighbor's 4 year old son a few nights before and a 4 year old boy on here. I also love pets!
