Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m a dependable, attentive sitter who provides a safe, engaging, and structured environment for children. I grew up as the oldest of four and the oldest among my cousins, so caregiving has always been second nature to me. I specialize in caring for infants through age 4, with a strong focus on routines, developmental play, and creating a calm, consistent atmosphere. I’m equally comfortable supporting older children, including homework help and structured activities. With a background in IT and engineering, I bring a patient, problem-solving mindset and can confidently assist with academics—especially in math and science. Families appreciate that I’m both warm and firm: I build trust quickly with children while maintaining clear expectations and boundaries. I’m proactive, communicative, and respectful of household routines, so parents can feel confident their home and children are in capable hands. I’m based in downtown Boston and available Read more evenings and weekends. I have a clean driving record (licensed since 2016) and am happy to assist with outings such as parks, libraries, and museums. I’m also willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification to meet your family’s preferences.

During this time, we needed extra help on Fridays. We had our son stay with family members for the first 15 months after his birth. We happen to have Kayla available to provide the extra help that we needed. She took care of him as well as we did; we ended the babysitting so that he could begin going to Montessori school, and we would have continued if we hadn't placed him in school.
