Hello my name is Lauren Carson! I am a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee Knoxville where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work. I truly have a passion for people specifically mothers and children. My ultimate goal is to become a full spectrum doula at a birthing center. I believe that the relationship between a child and their mother must be nurtured in all aspects of life and is a ruling factor in high-functioning adults. Although mothers are such an important aspect, they are often overlooked and I would like to be of service to women to ensure they receive the best care so that it can be reciprocated to their child. I have childcare experience in a few areas. As a teenager, I had offered babysitting services to my large extended family and built a clientele from there that I would watch during the summer Read more months. I also volunteered at the children’s hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee in pursuit of becoming a baby cuddler. In addition to this, I interned at a rehabilitation center that assisted mothers and their children through substance abuse. I would often work with children from infancy - about 7 years old in their childcare sector. In other words, I am super passionate about the youth and want to ensure their safety and growth at all times. I understand that entrusting your children with a stranger is a large risk to take, but I would love to be able to pour into whoever I encounter and make their experience one centered around the principles of your home, kindness, and fun.
