Hello! I'm a neuroscience student at Yale, back at home and looking to babysit during my summer break. I love caring for children and value playing games that require logic, problem-solving, and otherwise deep thinking that doesn't involve a screen. I am also bilingual, speaking Spanish at home with my Costa Rican mother, and enjoy teaching Spanish to children. I have tutored a 3-year-old in Spanish for Fun with Foreign Language, a local language business, and even taught a friend's 4-year-old nephew the Spanish words for colors as we played with stackable rings after Thanksgiving dinner. In addition to being bilingual, I am also EMT-certified, so I have specialized knowledge in first-aid and CPR, not to mention, preventing safety risks for young children. Finally, I will be working as a First-Year counselor at Yale next year, and while these are young adults who are perhaps older than your children, I Read more value this opportunity to be a mentor, as I would be to your child. Oh, and one last thing - I have two tuxedo cats and have volunteered at Luna's House Animal Shelter. I'd love to care for pets while I babysit!
