I love being a sitter because I really enjoy helping kids learn, explore, and feel comfortable. I’m studying Education at the University of Oregon with the goal of becoming a teacher, so working with children is something I’m passionate about and dedicated to. My experience includes volunteering as a children’s math activity facilitator at the Eugene Math Festival, where I created a welcoming space and helped kids enjoy learning. I’ve also led orientation activities for high school freshmen and served on a youth council advocating for better services for youth. These roles have taught me patience, good communication, and how to make kids feel heard and supported. I have plenty of experience babysitting young family members and have taken on a full babysitting job of two 6 year olds during quarantine-helping them with online school, meal-prep, life skills, etc.
