Hello! My name is Lacy, and one of my favorite things is getting to spend time with kids of all ages! I believe each child is different with unique gifts and learning styles, and it is such a joy for me to get to know and care for them in a way that brings out the playful and genuine child in them and me! I just graduated from college (over half of the people at my graduation party were under the age of 12 because I invited all of the families I babysat for through school...) and am about to start medical school in the fall. I have had experience babysitting ever since I was in middle school, and I have been a more long-term nanny for a few different families through college. In my time babysitting and nannying, I have gotten to care for all sorts of kids-- high-energy Read more boys who want to wrestle and chase me around the house, girls and boys who would rather play pretend or cuddle up and read stories, girls who love it when I teach them to crochet, and toddlers whose favorite part of the week was when I would take them to the playground or for a walk around the neighborhood. I am responsible, flexible, and engaging; I prefer not to have screens while I am with kids (unless part of a bedtime routine or a planned movie night, etc) because I would rather them get real-life interaction while I am there. There is so much to do and play and learn, and it is fun for me to get to be a part of a child experiencing the world in a creative and playful way. I have also had experience babysitting children with diabetes and epilepsy and am comfortable working with parents to make sure all of their children's particular needs are met whether they require special medical consideration or any other kind of concern that might warrant a different approach to care. I also am happy to do any kind of housework or errands or pet care. I love having something to keep me busy, and I work hard and thoroughly with every task. Please feel free to contact me!
