I am a certified, experienced early childhood educator, with a bachelors and masters degrees in Early Childhood Education, and 14 years of experience teaching and working with children, mainly in childcare settings. Throughout that time I have worked in and out of all age groups and classrooms, from infants to middle school. The majority of my experience has been with early childhood (ages infant-6 years). My most recent teaching position was in a private preschool in Creve Coeur that served infants-6 year olds. There, I worked with the 1 & 2 year olds and the 2 & 3-year-olds. Prior to the pandemic I worked in a different private school teaching 3 & 3 year olds in the morning and 4 & 5 year olds in the afternoon. Then, during the pandemic, I worked for a few months as a nanny for a 2 & 6 year old, while helping the Read more 6 year old and his 7 year old classmate with virtual learning. I have recently decided to leave teaching, due to the stresses and distractions that take some of the joy away from it for me. However, I I do still love and connect with young children and would like to continue working with them in a different capacity. I feel like nannying and babysitting would be a perfect way to do this. During my experience as a nanny I drove the children to many places, and left her car seat strapped in the back seat of my car, so I am fully willing and able to do the same for you if that is a need of yours. I also provided many other engaging play and learning experiences and activities for them. In addition to my daytime nanny and babysitting experience, I do have many years of experience babysitting on evenings and weekends if that is a need of yours as well. I am fully vaccinated and First Aid and CPR certified. I love animals (dogs paricuarily) and consider myself to be very nurturing with a positive attitude and disciplne approach.
