Hello there! My name is Rose and I am a wife and mother of two girls. My husband and I have been married for 31 years. I homeschooled our daughters (in their early years) but they are older now (18 & 23) and I really miss them being small! I miss holding them, playing with them and watching the wholesome little tv shows that came on like Sesame Street, PB&J and Stanley. I grew up with nieces and nephews. So, I babysat them, all the time, as an adolescent into my teen years. This is when I learned to keep a diligent eye on chilren and not rely on (although they can be useful) things like fences, etc. to keep them safe. I fed them, kept them clean, changed their diapers and played with them. In the past, I volunteered regularly in our daughter’s classrooms, field trips and on yearly Read more teacher appreciation day. I could tell the kids liked me as I always genuinely cared about them and came with fun activities and prizes!😉 Over the years, I’ve learned to care well for my family while managing a part-time job, a teenager and volunteer ministries. I also teach the five-seven and twelve year old children at our church. I am a loving person but I’m also firm and do believe in appropriate discipline but not spanking other people’s children. I admire a well-disciplined household that already has good values and expectations, in place. I provide extra special love and care for babies and toddlers. I also appreciate children who are older and more independent but while under my care are still well-behaved and will follow directions. Understanding that boys are different from girls and can be more rambunctious-there is room for active and imaginative play as long as no one gets out-of-hand or hurt. If there is a problem I am not able to figure out-I need to feel safe and free to address it with you. Some of the things I would enjoy doing with your child(ren) is imaginative play, painting; drawing; playing wholesome card, board games; reading; listening to music, assisting with some schoolwork; going to the playground, park or library, for example. I can provide light meals and snacks that you resource. I will clean up after myself and the children but welcome their help . Also, I do not smoke or drink and I am not comfortable working where there are inherently, aggressive animals (e.g., pit bulls) or firearms in the home. So, if you have little ones that need a loving, mom-like sitter I would love to talk with you to see if we’re a good fit!
