Hi, my name is Taissa, I am 29 years old. I have been a nanny since April 2022. However, my story with childcare did not start just three years ago. My mother has been a teacher for 40 years and still works. She has always loved teaching/taking care of children. I grew up watching her teaching children to read and write, to discover the world through letters and numbers. When I was 16, I started taking care of children at the church I attended. I did this for many years. I took fashion and theater courses, so creativity is in my blood. I am passionate about connecting with children and helping to raise them with love, respect, and to be independent and confident. I’m Communicative, fast learner, loving,energetic and flexible in my schedule to accommodate family needs. I am improving my English and my plan for 2026 is to go Read more to college to become a teacher in the future. I’m ok with pets * First Aid/CPR Certified ( conducted by American Red Cross). * Valid CA Driver's License (clean record). * Principles of the Montessori Methods certification in progress. My experiences: •2022-2024 I took care of two boys (12yo and 14yo). In my free time, I worked with other families to get experience with all ages and see which one I identified with the most. •I have experience taking care of multiple kids, I have been working for a family with 4 children (1yo, 2yo, 4yo and 6yo). •I worked on Saturdays for six months with a 4-year-old girl, playing with her and taking her to the park near her house. •I took care of a 2-month-old baby for 24 hours so that the parents could go on a trip. •I took care of a 1-month-old baby for 4 months full time. Our routine included feeding him, doing activities for his age, nap time, changing diapers and taking him for a walk. •I currently work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with a family of two boys (15 months and 4 years). In the mornings I spend time with the baby and in the afternoons with both children. There are some families that I have been working for since 2022 for occasions like date nights (a few hours on Friday night or during Saturday).
