Hello! My name is Em and I use They/Them pronouns. I currently work at a preschool through one of my classes at UVM where I major in Psychology. In the summer I work as a camp counselor, I’m also a certified substitute teacher in my hometown. I have lots of experience with children who are neurodivergent and children who have disabilities. When I’m working with kids I try to immerse myself in their world and their play, intentionally scaffolding and modeling age appropriate skills such as motor, social and emotional, and communication skills. I also enjoy cooking and baking, drawing and sewing, and having kitchen dance parties with my dogs. I love working with kids, I find it very rewarding to connect with kiddos and help them grow as people. I have found that I connect very well with neurodivergent children, I’m neurodivergent and learned a lot of my skills Read more through having a younger brother who has autism.
